German Translation Words Project

Hi, . Let’s see, Valeria’s offline still, so I’ll be doing the assigning.

http://translationstop.com/files/BOI/German/01_eta_141-142_DEU.PXF

Untranslated word counts: 960 & 1,296 words.

Let’s see, try to get it done by Wednesday evening?

It’s probably the last batch, by the way. We’re almost done with the translation phase.

———————-

Marcus, any idea when you’ll be done with 1_delta_93? It’s the 13th already and I still don’t have it.

You need to upload it to the TR server.
http://001yourtranslationservice.com/newsystem/cgi-bin/up_1001_TR.cgi

———————-

That’s ok. I will return my current batch some time later today and procede with the new one then. Thursday should be no problem.

Holger

———————-

Thanks.

So the project has come to a close? Did I get that right?

———————-

Okay, let’s see. We have a file at 2225 words untranslated. Deadline is still the same as above.

Think you can do finish it by then? If you can, confirm it here and download the following file and translate.

http://translationstop.com/files/BOI/German/01_eta_145_DEU.PXF

If you can’t, let us know right away. Also, if we don’t hear from you by Wednesday 4:00 p.m. GMT we’ll assume that you can’t and reassign it to someone else.

Have a nice day.

———————-

As far as German translation of Battle of Immortals, yes. There are still a few more steps that we need to take care, and we’re currently trying to get the French translation job for the same game (and of course we’re always hunting for more German translation projects), but the translation phase is supposed to end on July 15th.

Why do you ask? Do you want more work? I can switch things around and give you a different set of files totaling 3390 words. But again, it must be done by Thursday.

If you do want to switch files, let me know right away before I assign the files to someone else.

———————-

Hi, it will be done by today afternoon. The file is corrected and I only need to proofread it.

Marcus

———————-

Hi!

Yes, 2225 sounds manageable, so I’ll do it, thanks!

Annika

Take a look at that file and tell me if that’s the right file. If yes, I’ll hand it over to the proofreader. If you still need to work on it, let me know.

———————-

Ok

file is like the one I wanted to send as txf.

ok for proofreader.

———————-

Hi there

the file is uploaded.

Marcus

———————-

Cool, I’ll take a look at it in a few minutes.
Now, the next question is, do you want another file to translate? It’ll be less than 2000 words, but it must be done by Thursday morning at the latest. Tomorrow’s preferable.

———————-

I’ve received the files!

I just want to say that the language level of some files, like the one I will send next (zeta 138), is sometimes outrageous. Have other translators observed it too? Maybe parts of the text have been automatically “translated” from Chinese using a software? Actually not acceptable.

———————-

Bring it on. Thursday morning doable. I’ll try to turn it in tomorrow but Thursday morning confirmed.

Marcus

———————-

Thanks for this generous offer, but I’m happy with my file as it is. Gives me some extra time on other projects I’m currently involved in.

I asked because I need to do some planning of my own and didn’t really know about the schedule for BOI. Problem solved 🙂

———————-

Oh boy, about half of the translators commented on that and I’m sure all of them noticed.

I myself noticed it very early when we got the source text.

My own theory is that the original Chinese->English translation is done not in USA by native speakers, but in China, using the cheapest translation agency they can find.

Having met some native Chinese, very few speaks English fluently. The standard English language education over there just doesn’t cut it.

Now, I’ll give credit to the American localisation team. The text seems to have been proofread and edited by competent people. Except I don’t think they have enough time and resources to cover everything and of course sometimes the original sentences just plain don’t make sense.

We’re pretty resigned about the source text. We just have to do our best and make guesses when necessary. 🙂

———————-

Alright! 01_eta_143 is yours. Untranslated words: 1,725 words.

http://translationstop.com/files/BOI/German/01_eta_143_DEU.PXF

———————-

, I apologize, but I didn’t see your post in time.

The last batch of files is only 20k words, and I assigned them all already. And that’s all the files to translate for Battle of Immortals. So no more translation work for this project.

This is my fault for not consulting with Valeria first. Please do not blame her.

Sorry.

We’ll keep you on top of our minds if we need your help in either in polishing up BOI (just like back with Jade Dynasty) or a future project.

———————-

Marcus.

I am sorry, but cancel your assignment. This file has already been assigned to antother translator, so DO NOT translate it.

All files of the project have been farmed already, so unfortunately we don’t have anything else to substitute cancelled file.

Steffen

here is the file for you:

We have a deadline on July,15, so this file must be ready by Thursday morning the latest. But it would be great if you could deliver it tomorrow, can you do it?

———————-

Marcus, my apology. It’s my fault.

Going by the time,
‘s file assignment was earlier, and as such takes precedence over mine. Normally I’ll just substitute with something else, but as it happens we’re at the end of the project and there’s no other files to translate.

Again, I’m sorry for the mix-up.

———————-

Alright. The files should be done on Wednesday.

Best Gerald

Kalle.

Here is your last file:

This file must be delivered by Thursday morning the latest, preferably tomorrow.

Please, confirm

———————-

Gerald!

Thank you for confirmation.
To your information all files has been farmed already, so after you complete this assignment, we’ won’t have more files to translate(for this project at least). Please, confirm, that you are still interested in proofreading and that I can rely on you from tomorrow on.

———————-

Hi

No worries! You’ve all done a brilliant job with organizing this, it was a pleasure working with you on this!

I’ll be available to help you with anything that needs doing and look forward to working with you again in the future.

———————-

Yes, I am still interested in proofreading and will be available for this after delivering the current files tomorrow.

Best Gerald

———————-

no problem. You will have my translation tomorrow evening at latest.

Steffen

———————-

Sure, that’s how I did it too. I just couldn’t help making a comment in the end.

———————-

To your information,so that you could plan your life, this is the last file you are assigned for this project. But we will definetely contact you if and when we have new German project.
Thank you for your work

” Annika.

” Holger.

If you could deliver this batch by tomorrow evening – it would be just excellent…well, you know, the earlier-the better:)

Reagards

Ok

the file is like the one I wanted to send as txf.

ok for proofreader.

———————-

.

Unfortunately the rest of files is already assigned to other translators and we have nothing to offer you.
The deadline for translation is on Thursday. But we’ll keep you in mind if we need your help when we start polishing the project.

———————-

I just uploaded zeta 138.

———————-

just a quick question:

both files, 01_part_144 and 01_part_131, must be delivered thursday morning at the latest, preferably tomorrow?
