German Translation Project Uploaded

There’s several files to check.
http://translationstop.com/files/Proofreading/German/01_epsilon_119-120_DEU_for_spotting.PXF

For 119, pay attention to segment 11, 40, 75, 107, 138, 175, and 208. I moved words from within the {h h} brackets and I would like you to check whether it’s correct. I’m sure some of them are wrong, but I don’t know what’s the correct one.

http://translationstop.com/files/Proofreading/German/01_zeta_136-140_DEU_for_spotting.PXF

For 136, please check segment 207.

For 137, please pay attention to segment 679-682, 718-721, and 812-815. They’re obviously wrong.

For 138, segment 589.

Hi
Too bad, I was just getting the hang of it! Looking forward to the next project. (Any idea when this could be?)

I just uploaded the last file.
There’s one thing I stumbled across which you might want to forward to the lead translator. The text refers to a race or tribe called the “Gorgons”. The dictionary translates “Gorgon” with “Gorgo”, so I translated the plural “Gorgons” with “Gorgos”, accordingly – but I suspect that it could be just a typo in the dictionary and the “n” is just missing in the German version.

Glad I could be part of the team!

Hi

translation done and uploaded. Next up: proofreading these files.

I can also take more files to translate to avoid idle time.

By the way, what’s with 01_part_028 and 029 which have been sent back to Susanne? Maybe you can already write down my hours for checking 028 and compiling some comments (0.5 hours), I haven’t reported them yet because I was expecting to recheck her files.

———————-

Susanne

update me please with the state of 28-29 files. Did you find the files 01_part_28.DEU and 01_part_29.DEU told you about, on your harddisk? If you had revised 28-29 and saved the corrections, these files must consist them.

———————-

Christian

At this point we can’t predict when the next German project will come. Now we have a hope to get French part for BOI. But you can be sure that you’ll be one of the first to be invited to the next German project we have.

Thank you for your work one more time.

Good luck

———————-

I am translating everything anew and hope I can send the files this time. It is good luck that I have word documents of both files, this helps a lot. 01_part_28.DEU is aready done but needs proofreading, 01_part_29.DEU is not ready yet. I plan to send both files together, but please give me some time, I am incredibly busy at the moment, probably I can not fix it until weekend.

Susanne

Susanne

Unfortunately I can not give you more time. We have a deadline tomorrow, and your files must be checked by this time, so weekend is too late. That’s why I ask you to proofread and upload 28 file ASAP, and 29 will be proofread in its first condition you sent it to us.
When can we expect your redone 28 file?

———————-

Susanne’s got some technical problems and we haven’t received her files yet. I have put 0.5 hours to GS. As a note to 59 file: it is ‘s file, so it is not supposed to be spotchecked in 15 min; 93 file is Marcus’s – it can be problematic. At this point you don’t have to make any comments for translators. I believe you have already devoted them enough time and thanks to you we have a common understanding of what each translator is worth.
And one more assignment. Herewith I attach an excel 292 file. has noticed that the translation of Hungry Imps is inconsistent in several files. Sometimes it is translated as hungrigen kobolde, sometimes as hungrigen kobolden. As we cannot estimate, whether it is a mistake or simply a change of word form in compliance with German grammar, I ask you to review and correct if necessary this item in one file. This issue springs in the same sentences in other fies, so if we have a right sample we’ll correct everything else ourselves.

———————-

Gunter.

We have a deadline for translation tomorrow, so it was the last file you translated for this project.

Thank you for your work!

———————-

Steffen.

Good luck:)

———————-

Hi, Uli!

Thank you very much.

———————-

I will try it in the afternoon, but I can not guaratee that it works.

Susanne

———————-

I still can not send the file, I do not know why. I have absolutely no time to fix. it. Sorry, I do not know what to do.

———————-

Susanne

Please, simply save your translation and find file 01_part_28.DEU on your hard disk. It is actually the part of the project which consists your translation. We will make PXF file of it ourselves.
The same way you can act with 29 file. You told that you had already revised it and saved the changes. If the problem is in option “Send” or you can’t open it in Transit – ok, no need to open it in Transit, all you need is to search for 01_part_29.DEU file on your harddisk and send it to us.

” sorry, I can not fix the problem, and i have absolutely not me, I am very sorry. I hope next time will be better. ”

After you complete your current assignment, proofread Susanne’s 28-29 files which were sent in the very beginning. She will not send us revised files.
For any case here is a link to those files:

I have uploaded 01_part_144 to the FS.

Kalle

———————-

I upload a TXF file here and i hope it contains my corrected file 01_part_28, there may also be part 29, but untranslated. Hopefully this works.

———————-

Kalle

We are almost done with translation and I don’t have anything more to assign you, so you’ve just uploaded your last file for this project.
Thank you for your work. We will definitely contact you when we have another German project.

Good luck to you

———————-

if you haven’t started working on Susanne’s files yet- don’t. She is trying to upload something. Need to check what it is. Will give you another link soon.

———————-

Unfortunately all files are assigned already and we are almost done with translation. Will keep you in mind for the case if we need your help when we start polishing the project.

Thank you for your work

———————-

Susanne

This PXF consists only 28 part. I compared it with your first translation – yes, this one has changes. But there is no 29 part in this file.

———————-

Susannehas sent the amended translation for 28 file. is out to upload it to FS, so I attach you the pxf for 28-29 file. Check only 28 for now, maybe she will manage to send 29 later…

———————-

so finally at least this worked. Unfortunately I could not make any changes in part 29, but as long as I could see from a quick look, most of my mistakes where in this file. I am sorry, but it is asolute impossible for me to fix it until tomorrow.

Susanne

Hi !

Done and uploaded. I won’t be available from now until next week, so I’ll get back to you on Monday or Tuesday.

Annika

Susanne

one more time. You told me that you had revised your 28-29 files 3 days ago and tried to send it, but something went wrong. I underline, that if the problem is about Transit, I do not force you to fix it and send exactly txf file. All I ask you to do is to do search on your hard disc for 01_part_29.DEU file. It is 1 min thing. Please, do it.

———————-

Annika.

We are almost done with translation for this project, so this file was the last you translated for BOI. We will definetely contact you and invite you to join our team when we have the next German project.

Thank you for your work.

Good luck

” I am afraid, this file was overwritten, whe I uploaded the project anew. I can only offer you to fix it until tomorrow 12:00, if this is not too late. ”

I have just uploaded files 155 to 157 and 159 to 161.

Best Gerald

Susanne, is there something you didn’t tell us?

A search for two .DEU files can be done in less than a minute using Window’s search function. Even if the answer is that you have deleted them/overwrote them, you could have told me. I would have then offered to send you your last uploaded file, which is the file we sent to the proofreader. That should have saved you a lot of work.

But fine, you would rather re-translate from scratch. The deadline is not moved. The quality bar is also not moved. Thursday noon, 15 July 2010, GMT.

If you want to try fixing 01_part_029 anyway, this is what you sent us. Download it, allow it to overwrite your file, and start from there.
