Please find attached an updated excel sheet showing my hours.
I also attach the files 1G (one word changed) and 5G (2 hyphen replacements).

Hi

I have uploaded the corrected version as 278_new_. Hope this is in time. I’ll be more careful next time to avoid such things. Very sorry.

———————-

Hello.

I just uploaded my finished translation as well as a separate doc-file with some notes on my translation.

There’t two options: 002_BOI and BOI_Notes. I uploaded the translation to 002_BOI and my .doc-file with my notes to BOI_Notes.
I hope that’s right and you received both of them… Please let me know if there’s any problem.

It will be great if you can assign me another file.

Thank you very much!

Kind

Thank you for the explanation .
Now I have the knowledge to make the translation as requested.
I might get beck to you should I have further questions.

Sophie, sorry for the suddenness. We need someone to proof (yes, proofreading, not spotcheck) 01_beta_reps_DEU as soon as possible. It was originally assigned to , but we just found out that some private matters came up and she can’t do it at the moment.

http://translationstop.com/files/Proofreading/German/01_beta_reps_DEU_tobe_proofed.PXF

The new glossary is here:
http://translationstop.com/files/Glossary/Glossary_DEU_29Jun.PXF

We know we just assigned you a lot of stuff yesterday. This gets priority over those. Please start on 01_beta_reps as soon as you can and the rest can wait until after 01_beta_reps is proofed.

As usual for proofreading, write a comment file regarding quality of translation and anything else of note. You know, just like back in Jade Dynasty.

Please let us know whether you can or not.

, we can’t use 1g and 5g anymore. We’re way past that stage. The 1g-5g files were the start of the glossary file, but by now there’s additions and changes and deletions that we will lose if we start over with the 1g-5g files.

Thanks for sending them again though.

When you start Transit, right after the title page it will ask you which project to open. The last choice on there should be Receive an external project.

Select that.

Now you should be able to pick the sample file.

Alternatively, if you’re already in Transit, you can select Project and then Receive and then pick the sample file.

Transit uses a compressed format (it’s really a zip file), so it can’t “see” a PXF file via File -> Load. Instead, it has to be Received and unpacked first.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the proofreader’s comments. I have made the suggested changes.
However, I wasn’t sure about the “Quest interface” bit; since in the original text it says “Open the quest interface”, it seems wrong to translate it as a “button” of some sort, so I now went for a “Menü” which can be opened.

Anyway, I uploaded the file and I’ll uploaded the other one tonight, so feel free to send me the next assignment.

Ok I changed the view and I saw all tags.
I uploaded the glossary I i can see it. But on reopening Transit I can now only see the glossary, the file to translate is gone…
What now?

———————-

!

Let me know how you proceed with 305 file. If you are about to complete it, I would assign you one more file.

———————-

That’s because you’ve been renaming .DEU files to .TXF without actually going through the steps of making a .TXF file.

When you want to make a .TXF, save your work. Then go to Project -> Send. Type in the file name you want for the .TXF.

You’ll get a TXF file. That’s the file you are supposed to send to us.

Out of this .TXF file the only file we actually need is the .DEU/.GER file. That’s the file that you’ve been sending us. However, we do prefer a .TXF because a .TXF file can contain many files at once. You could send 4-5 files at once with a .TXF file, or even 20.

Please do not rename file extensions yourself.

Do not worry about your previous sent files. I will rename them myself.

About your file 31, you should already have a copy of it, right? Rename it back to 05_part_31.DEU and put it back with the rest of the .DEU files. You should be able to load it now.

———————-

I’m halfway through and hope to finish it tonight or tomorrow. So I would be grateful if you assigned me another file.

———————-

Reload the file.

File -> Open -> Project. 10002_5 or, if you have changed the project name from our default, whatever the new name is.

Then File -> Open -> Language Pair. 05_part_283.

———————-

It wasn’t in on time. Sorry. Valeria handed that to the spotchecker already.

Well, at 22 untranslated words it’s probably not worth delaying anyway. But we appreciate your effort.

Please, confirm

Good luck!

turn on your Full Tags view. You’ve been messing with the game tags because you can’t see it.

View -> Display/Hide Attributes -> Full Tags View.
You may want to turn on full segment markers on too.

Original: \n This is a Gold beetle’s dorsal scale
Yours: Dies ist eine Gold°°°Käfer°°°Rücken°°°Schuppe. \n

Original: Go look for {hHorus
Yours: {hGeht Horus

You have no idea how much time need to be spent checking and fixing those. Your next file must not have these sort of errors.

———————-

Ok, ..

I’ve switched on both… looks more confusing now…
but I’ll go on this way, as recommended.

bye bye

———————-

When I open Transit, there is a small window with options. I clicked on “Receive an external project” and then on “ok”.

My documents open and Transit again sees only folders but no file. I can open any folder but Transit still can’t see the sample that I downloaded here:

http://001yourtranslationservice.com/translating/translation-tips/working-with-Transit-PE.html

I tried the other way that you suggested:
I am in Transit XV and opened the files from inside Transit. I clicked on “Project” and then “Receive”. The Window to My Documents opened. I can see the Transit files but not any file.

Even if I move the sample file in an extra folder that says Transit, I can’t see the file, only the folder. Nothing that I can open and work with.

Kind Belle

———————-

Honestly, I had switched the “Full Tags View” on before… probably I didn’t save it, due to confusion (Transit).

Things should improve, though.

happy working

———————-

Hi there
I must have done something wrong while copying the file because I can’t open the copy neither. I can only open the original version.
Well, I am sure that the translation is a good one, I proof read it and sent it. If possible I would have prefered to reopen the translation again and incorporate ‘s suggestions which only concern a few words (changing the suggested glossary term from singular into plural.)
But perhaps my translation will be approved as it is…
Thanks for your help. I will try to make a txf file as suggested with my next file.

Also, space in front of segments aren’t necessarily an error.

For example: Tell {hBarooh[72]h} about that.

This would be broken by Transit into:
Tell {Barooh
[72]
h}
about that.

You occasionally deleted the space.
Berichtet {hBarooh
[72]
h}
davon.

When this is assembled together again at the end we’ll end up with Berichtet {hBarooh[72]h}davon. Which the player would see as Berichtet Baroohdavon.

Similarly with commas.

Sometimes you put a comma or word after the first {h.
E.g.
Notify {hLarsek
[69]
h}
to speed up the construction of the camp.

Becomes:
Benachrichtigt {hLarsek;
[69]
}h
er soll den Lager°°°Bau beschleunigen.

When assembled at the end you’ll get
Benachrichtigt {hLarsek[69];h}er soll den Lager°°°Bau beschleunigen.

The semicolon is in the bracket, and Larsek and er would have been stitched togeter to Larseker.

Correct way of doing it is to move the semicolon to the beginning of last segment, so you get
; er soll den Lager°°°Bau beschleunigen.

This would be assembled to:
Benachrichtigt {hLarsek[69]h}; er soll den Lager°°°Bau beschleunigen.

which the player will see as
Benachrichtigt Larsek; er soll den Lager°°°Bau beschleunigen.

So please watch for context. When you work on a segment, check the segments before and after it. Ask yourself, how will this look like when assembled together?
