Proofreading Glossary Work Assign

If you could upload zip files of 3-4 files it would be best.

———————-

I just uploaded the final file of this batch. You can assign me new files any time now.

What do you think was the issue with those multiple files? I’m quite sure I did everything in the same way as last time (with JD), where this problem did not occur – ??

By the way, the changes in the way I named the translated files only happened because I corrected my naming system during this project (remembered to include my name etc.). It should remain consistent from now.

Kind
———————-

Okay

I’ll do that. I just started checking for capitals. A file with few capitals takes 15-20 minutes. I should have a batch ready in about 40 minutes.

I am updating your proofreading hours.I don’t find proofreading hour for file 2c (you reported 2d together with 2a), and also of 8a,b (that’s form last day) and of 16a-e (have only the additional corrections time).

Please check and let me know.

———————-

please upload the file to the fileserver.

Also, please ask Fabien to contact with his info.

———————-

I uploaded files 14 a f g j on the server.
I spent 50 minutes on the 4 files.

I am making proofreading accounting.
You said 27h for these files:

1a-d / 3b / 5a-d / 7e,f,g / 11a,b,c,e,m / 18a,b,h,j / 17x,y

3h for
2b_issues and 1a1b1d2b3b_comments_file.rar

12h
2b, 3c, 4a / 15a,g,h / 17e,i,s

These are not all files you proofread.
What I need is a list of all files and their corresponding proofreading hour, preferably detailed per file. Otherwise it is very difficult to track and organize. I see that you hadn’t told me the hours of 8j, 9t, 12p, 13a, 16g, 18q.

Please let me know.

———————-

yes, the proofreading hours are correct, it’s hard to tell how much time I spent on every single file because I went on and on and on with this proofreading work and only can give you an overall view of my proofreading hours.

27h for these files:

1a-d / 3b / 5a-d / 7e,f,g / 11a,b,c,e,m / 18a,b,h,j / 17x,y

3h for
2b_issues and 1a1b1d2b3b_comments_file.rar

12h
2b, 3c, 4a / 15a,g,h / 17e,i,s

and for the files 8j, 9t, 12p, 13a, 16g, 18q: 4 hours

Excellent

———————-

Here are a few notes I made while translating – mainly glossary suggestions.

———————-

I will update the accounting.

———————-

Sophie, Karel is surprised to see that file 207 took you 2:45 hours to proof considering that if you’re using the segment filter, it’s only 457 words long.

Can you justify this? Even with the glossary change midway it seems hard to believe that this takes longer than 208.

———————-

I uploaded files 14 k l m p on the server.
I spent 30 minutes on the 4 files.
One I am done with section 14, do you want me to check section 9?
Please let me know.

JM” I uploaded the files, they should be in the top directory. Filename is xl-mse.exe or something “I have no idea what the files keep getting added on. The ways of Transit are arcane and mysterious. (Woooooo….)

I noticed it on one other people, but strangely some other don’t have that problem. I don’t have the time to look into a minor matter though. I will get around that by assigning files in smaller batches. Around 2000-2500 at once.

As for new files…, err, please wait until tomorrow? I still behind on my backlog.

———————-

Alright. Tomorrow until the early afternoon I will be able to work, after that my weekend starts.

———————-

I uploaded files 14 q r s t u on the server.
I spent 40 minutes on the 4 files.
ALtogether, I spent two hours working on section 14.
I am going to move on to section 9, but I think it will take longer since there are more item names to be found in it.

Excellent, I think the time investment was worth the progress it gave – all these files will be vetted today.

On the other side, let’s try to split your time between proofreading new files andn fixing capitalization or reviewing your previous files in proportion 3/1 in the favour of proofreading new files. You can see that we still have plenty of unproofread files.

———————-

please find my hours below.

2c: 1,0
8a-b: 3,0
16a-e: 8,5
16a-c reproof: 1,5

———————-

In ticket VZ6UP8UM8Z you indicated that 16a-c reproof is 1h.
Would you please check your records.

———————-

A day passes and no mention of capitalisation change. Huh, maybe they realize it isn’t a good idea.

Anyway, this is Ulrich’s comment for Section 2 part 171-179. Please note that I recommend against changing a glossary term. It will mean a lot of work searching through all the work done so far to change a term.

How’s things going on the reps file?

———————-

Last accounting question I hope.
I am missing hours for files 14s and 3d.
And I want to clarify – here in the list of files for 4 hours you have files 8j, 9t, 12p, 13a, 16g, 18q. But in ticket HU6QQ9MA5E you mentioned in this list also files 15d and 19b (8j, 9t, 12p, 13a, 15d, 16g, 18q, 19b). Can you check if 15d and 19b are included in these 4 hours?

———————-

Rudiger, it’s been 4 days since you were assigned your files. You are told not to wait until everything is done, but instead to submit what you have finished every day.

I have yet to receive a single file from you.

Moreover, everyone else who assigned files from the same section are done yesterday.

Is there a problem? If so, please let us know right away.

If I don’t hear from you until Monday, I will reassign the files to someone else.

———————-

15d and 19b are included in these 4 hours.
You are right I forgot about 14s and 3d, these files took me 3 hours.

———————-

!!!
14s and 3d – 3 hours together or 3 hours each?
Sorry!!!

———————-

no problem, it was 3 hours together. Thanks for asking.

———————-

🙂
I think now it’s done.

———————-

I uploaded 9a b c d e for your convenience. I spent 75 minutes working on these files. I’ll switch back to proofreading now.
If you want me to check more files, please let me know. It takes about 15 minutes to check a file from this section.

Just a little bit of work. Again, it’s spread over multiple files. Latest glossary is still 09 June. Your suggestion has been forwarded, but  hasn’t gotten around looking at it yet, I guess.

———————-

Well, it’s weekend, so I don’t know if you’ll get around to it until Monday. No big deal. That said, try to get it done by Tuesday, unless you have prior commitment. (If you do, when will you be done?)

Please translate the following files

Use the 09 June glossary, which you can find at

Untranslated words per file:
2166
270
146
290
150

Carine

Are you available? Please feel free reminding me to assign you files.
If you are available, please proofread files 8k, 15c, 15f, 15i.
Please confirm!

———————-

Hi
Sorry if I keep you waiting, I had several subtitling projects to handle this week. After all these weeks of waiting your assignment came somewhat unexpected and I had accepted other projects, so I didn’t have time to start yet. Hope it’s okay if I start tomorrow and send you what I have on Monday, but if your too pressed with time and rather reassign, please let me know.

Jean

I am checking file 14a.
I see that some things you were not capitalizing before are in capital letters:
Tête de Guetteur Shaodu (I mean Guetteur)
Prince You (before you did not capitalize titles- it’s in the middle of a sentence)
Eliminez les Feux du Lotus Rouge (the Feux du Lotus Rouge)

Is it something Alexandre and you agreed about? I thought now we go back to uncapitalizing all items. Please let me know. I asked Alexandre to write a small manual to capitalization and send it also to me, but as long as I don’t have it, I guess I need ot learn from examples.

” I notice that you have not been reporting your proofreading hours regularly. In particular, I can’t find any report on the time needed for those glossary files. What are the hours?

And still one more (I already don’t promise it’s the last one):
Remember you were fixing 6a on the last day of delivery? How long did it take?
