Christ Loves |
Although it is fundamentally important to believe in Christ, I believe God has a greater purpose for us than only this. We should act as model citizens [1PE 2:21], abstaining from excessive indulgence and working to make the world a better place to live in. For an introduction to this you may refer to my Pleasing God < sermon. These pages are aimed at those in the rich west who can afford to live in such indulgence and whose actions, although they are mostly unaware of it, are adding to the suffering and poverty in the poorer parts of the world. People are not suffering and inhumanely impoverished because God is uncaring, but because of the actions of the average consumer in the west, who does not concern themselves with where the products they purchase are produced, or the results of their purchases and indulgence. I will try to explain all this on these pages, drawing information from many websites and always referring to those websites.
Because there is so much information out there on this subject but website addresses can often change, I have taken the liberty of copying the useful information I found and placing them here, always referring to the source of that information.
