Translation Segment Translated in File from Dictionary

I am checking. Meantime leave it as it is.

Yes I’m working with the new dictionary he uploaded today.

Do I leave all the current translations as they are, or do I adopt one single definition?

I’m very glad that you pay attention to these things.

Did you download the new French dictionary uploaded today to the server? It is very possible that these issues are repaired there.

Please check that, and besides yes, making a list in Excel is great.

I’ve noticed that a term such as “Deadpool” has several translations in the glossary: “°tang des morts, bassin des morts, marais maudit”

According to me, “Marais maudit” is the best one, but in the file I’m translating, the segments already translated don’t use the same translation: some have “°tang des morts”, some others have “bassin des morts”, and some others “marais maudit”.

I was thinking about putting “marais maudit” everywhere, but maybe I shouldn’t do that, what do you think?

Anyway I’m creating a list of words I think are not very correct in an Excel file, to give to , as he asked me.

—————————-

Sorry I have another question: I don’t see any .TXF file though I’ve saved my project. Where can I find it or how can I create it?

—————————-

That’s great. I’m very happy.

HAPPY EASTER 🙂

here is responce form :

“I thought I removed all the duplications, so now I must research the glitches.

He should apply NEW glossary terms and abandon anything before.

Just stick to his parts and let the proofreader deal with the pretranslations.”

So leave the pretranslations as they are, and use a new glossary term for your untranslated segments.

Sorry this is not what I mean. I was asking you where I can find the .TXF file when I want to send it via ProjectSend. I’ve browsed all the folders of my Transit installation, and I can’t find any .TXF file.

Please find here below a few comments on my translation for the file in subject:

1. In Segment I assumed the verb “take” is missing

2. Segment and , a not so funny word play with witch I’m not very confortable (I’ve used the + symbol)

3. Around the segments , the discussion seems much less formal, so I’ve used “tu” instead of “vous” to translate “you”

4. Segment “Stage” has been left untranslated as suggested by the TM, but I would think that “Etape” would be more appropriate in French.

Hope this helps

As always, I’m happy to receive feedback on this work

For whom are you uploading this file? Is it a final translated file?

—————————-

In response to your last message entitled “New file”.

When I finish a translation (in this case it was the file 15s), I send it in .TXF to and in parallel I send my comments to the PM (yourself). So it is my final translated file, after having proofread my translations. Are you happy with this way forward? Or did I misunderstand your question?

—————————-

Please find here below a few comments on my translation for the file in subject:

1. In Segment I assumed “crane” instead of “cane”

2. From Segments to : quite a lot of Chinese with some English, to be checked.

3. Segment , “Craft” was already translated by “Metier”, however, I translated myself “Job” by “Metier” in Segment . To be checked.

4. I’ve corrected “Ancestres” by “Ancetres” (appearing several times), another translator’s error. The sentence “Storm Jadeon, then crush Skysong” (appearing several times) was marked already translated by another translator, but left in English. I’ve corrected this.

5. There are a few abbreviations I can’t translate. I’ve not used ALT INS, so the proofreader can locate them easily. I’ve also used a few + to be looked at more carefully.

Hope this helps

As always, I’m happy to receive feedback on this work

My apologies, now I understand, it’s final file for .

I received your comments, thank you.

My name is I am organizing vetting of files for a large project we are working on.

These are excel files, which had been translated using Transit CAT tool, later proofread, and now waiting to be vetted and spell-checked.

Vetting consists of comparing the translation against the source to make sure that nothing is missing and of correcting certain characters, which needed to be replaced by numbers or other signs because they had been making problems in Transit. While vetting, we do not edit the translation itself. It is not hard, but requires lot of attention and strictly following instructions.

Today I attached the first instructions file (there will be at least one more as we prepare things). Please download it, and read it carefully. There are no translated files to download yet, but you can meantime download the origin source files and rename them according to instructions.

I am looking forward working with you.

Please find here below a few comments on my translation for the file in subject:

Quite a number of segments were not translated but however marked as such. I’ve corrected the followings:

Enlightenment (into: illumination)

Mystic (into: mystique)

AttackRange(into: Distance d’attaque)

PowerRange(into: Puissance d’attaque)

Septs has been corrected into Sept

“Glower helmet” has “Casque” only as entry to the dictionary, I’ve added “lugubre” (Casque lugubre)

Hope this helps

No comments on this one (mainly ProperNames), but I thought you’d like to know 🙂

It looks like you were going to write segments numbers, but forgot to insert them in your comment. Would you please take a look?

Also here it seems like you intended to, but forgot to insert segment numbers: “In Segment??? I assumed…”

Can you please check? Your comments are valuable, but it will be much easier for proofreader understand what you mean if there will be a segment number.

Sorry for these missing segments. Actually, I experience some difficulties with this virtual office (error when sending messages) so I work first in Word, using the superior to and inferior symbols to on each side of the segment number, wich apparently is removed when copied from Word and pasted here ; and as I didn’t check before sending… So here below is the complete version:

Please find here below a few comments on my translation for the file in subject:

1. In Segment 784 I assumed “crane” instead of “cane”

2. From Segments 1032 to 1040: quite a lot of Chinese with some English, to be checked.

3. Segment 1397, “Craft” was already translated by “Metier”, however, I translated myself “Job” by “Metier” in Segment 1413. To be checked.

4. I’ve corrected “Ancestres” by “Ancetres” (appearing several times), another translator’s error. The sentence “Storm Jadeon, then crush Skysong” (appearing several times) was marked already translated by another translator, but left in English. I’ve corrected this.

Same problem when using symbols! Please find here below the corrected text.

Please find here below a few comments on my translation for the file in subject:

1. In Segment 105 I assumed the verb “take” is missing

2. Segment 344 and 346, a not so funny word play with witch I’m not very confortable (I’ve used the + symbol)

3. Around the segments 300, the discussion seems much less formal, so I’ve used “tu” instead of “vous” to translate “you”

4. Segment 607 onwards “Stage” has been left untranslated as suggested by the TM, but I would think that “Etape” would be more appropriate in French.

Hope this helps

I collected your comments and will have them sent to editor.

General Li Jing leaded 3,000 soldiers to attack the base of enemies, which had 10,000 troops there.

Finally, Li won the battle with his strategy.

That’s awesome.

General Li Jing commandait 3 000 soldats lors de l’attaque de la base ennemie, qui comprenait 10 000 troupes.

Finalement. Li gagna la bataille gra¢ce a sa strategie.

C’est bien.

As per ‘s request, I am sending you a translation sample to forward to the lead translator.

I already sent it to you, but since it did not appear in my outbox, I am sending it again.

Dark Bamboo Grove? -Oh, I see. -There lives a kind of poisonous bee called Buzz Pack in Dark Bamboo Grove. -It’s almost identical to the Snowflake Bee in appearance, and their honey is also almost identical, except that the color is a little lighter. -Issa must have mistaken Buzz Packs for Snowflake Bees. -Don’t worry, it isn’t fatal. -Give this antidote to him.

Vanti the Etherblade once imparted me a special set of skills that can help remove your impatience. -However, if you don’t have enough power, you may be hurt by it. -So, if you are able to get rid of Feline Felons at Abyssal Lands and prove you have enough power, I’ll use the skill to help you remove your impatience.

Those Blade Slaves and Swiftedge Spirits were so evil and showed no mercy. -Now they will suffer in a hell as cold as their hearts. -I hope they mend their ways so they can be reincarnated sooner.

He is in charge of Combina Hell. -The sufferings endured in this hell are endless, and are far worse than in any of the previous hells. -Murderers, violent thieves, and others that were grievously evil in their life time will go to this hell. -Their bodies will be engulfed in torrents of flame, and the tears that fall from their eyes as they cry in pain will also turn into flame as it runs down their face. -Those Zaaras Spellbinders and Snaggletooth Felines did great evil and should be sent to this hell. -Send them there at once!

Please find here below a few comments on my translation for the 4 files in subject, as most of the comments concern all of them, along with comments on the dictionary entries (but for the sake of consistency, I’ve used unmodified dictionary entries when existing). I have introduced about 130 new terms, mainly Proper names, based on already existing terms I’ve searched in the new dictionary (if this explanation makes any sense!)

1. I feel sorry for having left files this way, but quite a number of segments were already marked as translated, however they still contain English words. This is probably because someone working on the reference/repetition files used ALT INS for segments containing untranslated Proper Names. I’ve also noticed some translations inconsistent with the new dictionary. But as I have to translate untranslated segments (i.e. not marked as already translated), I ignored (mostly, see next point) those issues, leaving the corrections to your proofreader. A complete proofread would have taken me a lot of time for which I wouldn’t have been paid.

2. However, I’ve corrected a few problems: one/some translators have problems with French accents: tres has been corrected by tres, completement by completement, elementaire by elementaire, poussiere by poussiere

3. Check a few keywords which I found left in English: transform, charm, mystic, item, stash, energy bar, beade¦

4. File 17p, segment 1237, Samsara Pool has been kept for consistency with fuzzy match, but I think that Etang de Samsara would be better.

5. I believe that File 17p, segment 1664 I have to read Tassel instead of Tassle

6. I believe that File 17q, segment 181 I have to read Lambskin instead of Lampskin

7. I’ve kept Voidland as suggested by the fuzzy match but I believe that Terrevide would be more appropriate

8. File 17r, segments 235 and 238 are strange, please check them

Dictionary entries comments:

Bosses have been translated as Patrons, but I’ve been previously told that they were not Patrons but monsters!

Border xxx have inconsistent translations (I would go for de Frontiere)

Grasstemple xxx have inconsistency translations (I would go forTempleHerbe)

Celebra could be translated by Celebra (using accent, as for Jadeon)

Refined has been translated by Raffine, but it might be worth considering Purifie (sounds better to me)

Fragrant has been translated by Odorant, but it might be worth considering Parfume (odorant may sound negative)

Hope this helps

As always, I’m happy to receive feedback on this work

Received, thank you! Would you please tell me when you’ll post the last one, that it is last? I am collecting all of those to be sent in one file to the proofreader.

Thank you in advance
