Files Work Finish Deadline

Green light received! Please work on 6d.
Please don’t forget to abbreviate to 31 char.

If you have problems extending the formula to the part which belongs to 6d, I will try to help.

———————-

I have reupladed files 5a and b: French_JD_100201_Localize_5b_Catherine_Final.xls
French_JD_100201_Localize_5b_Catherine_Final.xls

———————-

Carine

how is 6b?

I gave 6d to Alexandre, so please don’t do it. Please keep me updated, I will try to distribute work.

———————-

Okay, I will start my engine then.

I will catch up with the macro instructions and get started.

With many

Alexandre

———————-

6b is going ok. There are not as many ‘false’ as previously, so everything is fine so far. I’m about halfway through.

Carine

files received.
How is progress on 5c?

———————-

I uploaded JD – French – 7f –
– Proofread.xls
Did you already process Catherine’s files 5a and 5b. Apparently, there are unresolved issues in them, so if she can provide me a list of cells that need to be checked, I can give them a look. Of course, if you alreday processed them, it is probably too late.
Please let me know.

Hi, very slow, I am half way, I asked
if he could take 5d, but not sure he understood, he seems to have some free time, do you think he could take 5d? In 5c, I have to change 4 terms out of 5, if you want an idea of the scale.

———————-

Re: 2. Marking those as translated shouldn’t be a problem if it’s unchanged.

There’s no reply from  yet because he’s unavailable from last Wednesday to at least the upcoming Monday, probably even as far as Wednesday.

You can try contacting him via CS to get an answer, but officially he’s off for the week.

Please, ANY file reassignment, load reduction – anything what has to do with files – please do through me. I don’t want to have in the last moment mess and 2 people working on same file.

As to the 5d – please continue working on 5c, I will try to give 5d to Jean

or Alexandre, but meantime it’s yours. they are also working on some files. Once I reassign – you will receive my confirmation.

———————-

Jean

We had already processed them. More urgently is to continue working on her other files – 5c goes very slow she said. Can you do 5d?

———————-

If she is struggling, I can try to take care of 5d.
I still need to finish 7g first.

JM

———————-

if you look from 45288, almost all the terms are FALSE, it’s crazy!

———————-

ok, I was just asking him, no worries, I would have told you. I hope your deadline can be extended, please let me know. I will finish 5c, and I bear in mind I have 5d, until you tell me otherwise.

———————-

Ok. Please work on 7g, and after you will complete, we will see where is Catherine. If necessary, we can also split files.

———————-

I still need to finish 7g first.

JM

———————-

I think Carine still has two more files to go through.

JM

———————-

Jean

Nope. I gave 6d to Alexandre. Carine said she’s in the middle of 6b about 40 minutes ago. After you will complete your file, I guess you will take file according to who’s more behind – Carine or Catherine.

———————-

I should be done pretty soon. Please let me know which file to tackle next.

JM

———————-

I´m done with spot-checking. Please find my report attached here. All in all it took me 75 minutes.

So, I´m finishing for today.

———————-

In this case, please take Catherine’s 5d.

———————-

I confirm – Jean

takes 5d.
So now, please, work carefully and calmly.

———————-

Alexandre

How is progress on 6d? Is everything working (formula)?

” thanks ”

I am still stuck with 7g for the moment. Apparently, Emle – who already proofed this file – did not modify anything in the dialogue parts, and there is a lot of errors to fix.

JM

———————-

Jean

Thank you for letting me know. This makes me concerned about file 12l from she had recently proofread.

Keep working, we can split files between two proofreaders if we’re under pressure of time.

———————-

I hope to be done within one hour, but I cannot be sure. The textportion is really bad.

JM

———————-

It works fine, it’s just extremely tedious and takes forever.

I don’t understand why the person who made the macro didn’t display the correct result directly instead of “False”. That doesn’t make any sense to me and searching the whole glossary again and again for no reason drives me nuts.

Also, I don’t know if you checked the file I uploaded earlier today (CAPSFIX). It’s actually an improved version of the glossary, with capitalization, spelling and even some consistency issues fixed.

This file should be used at the end, using an auto search and replace for each term. In order for it to work, the proofreaders need to use the EXACT term from the glossary. Even if the capitalization is faulty, it’s okay since it will be corrected automatically with my file later.

How long do I have till the deadline? This is taking forever, I hope I will have enough time to finish it.

Alexandre

———————-

I have finished checking consistency in file 6b. I am now starting on the abbreviations.

Carine

———————-

Alexandre

What I can say, you are definitely right about macro. When you say it it’s so obvious… I don’t know if we have time to change it.
Our deadline is t 9pm GMT. Before that, file needs to be vetted (15 mins) and the terminology macro needs to be applied. this is longer then we expected. So I think would be nice to have the files soon.

———————-

Carine

good work, please don’t forget we still have 6c.

———————-

There are a lot of abbreviations to be made in 6b. It is going to take me some time. Unless there are nearly no ‘false’ in 6c, I won’t be able to finish 6c today since I already spent 3h50 on 6b (that is without the abbreviations. That’s why I suggested to Karel earlier to give 6c to someone else so we could meet the deadline but I don’t think he did in the end.

Carine

———————-

I can’t believe proofreaders have been working like this for hours and didn’t mention it. At least this will be fixed for BOI 😉

Allright, I’ll definitely have enough time to deliver 6d then, probably not another one though.

Alexandre

———————-

Carine

I gave away 6d already. I guess we will split 6c between you and other translator. Try to finish 6b first.

———————-

I have finally uploaded 5c. I hope it all goes well.

I told Karel that I am available all week-end for extra work, so please do not hesitate to contact me.

If any questions, I will check later tonight, otherwise, talk to you tomorrow morning.

———————-

the filename for 5c is: French_JD_100201_Localize_5c_Catherine.xls

(I didn’t add ‘final’ at end, but it is)

———————-

I just uploaded 7g. It was messed up.
I’ll start on 5d right away, the deadlne is in 90 minutes, right?

JM

———————-

Deadline is 80 minutes and counting now, but you should give yourself 60 minutes because we need the time to merge the files etc.

‘s likely off to bed by now.

———————-

I have just uploaded 6D, sorry about the delay, I had to rush the end so hopefully I didn’t forget anything.

I didn’t have time to check the 31 char. limit.

If I misunderstood the time zone, and there’s actually more time left, please let me know and I’ll check it again.

Alexandre

———————-

I uploaded file 5d.
My hour count for 7e, 7f, 7g and 5d is 5,5 hours.
Good luck for the final steps.
