Work Files German Language

this time it worked out and I submitted the sample. Hopefully you received it.

I just didn’t find the link Active Tender…

Thank you for your patience

Patrick

Attached please find the annotations for the lead translator for the file I delivered yesterday – Karel might already have forwarded it, as I attached it to my mail, but just to make assurance double sure… ๐Ÿ™‚
My new file btw is JD_100201_Localize_13g.
Best regards & have a great weekend

I missed to actually send the updated add dictionary to Karel, I have a few technical issues here now.

I have a list of new terms in front of me, but how do I add them? I know how to do that from an open translation project, but how to insert terms directly, with only the glossary open – this is possible isn’t it?

And then, I export everything into a txf file, no?

———————-

the only questions I had with the last file (11L) were:

– I converted inches in the original text into cm, that was ok I think?
– It was not completely clear if that carp was an “Eera” or “Era” carp, there were inconsistencies. I went with “Eera”.
– English “Pavilion” is German “pavillion” in the glossary, but the German should be “pavillon”.

Best

Can you please let me know how are the files? Did you already complete any?

———————-

I have completed 4 of the 6 by now. Do you want those already or should I send them all together (within the next 90 mins).

———————-

Great! Can you please send me here the completed ones?

I have 3 more (more simple files). Do you think you can take them as well?

———————-

Here you go.
Yes, you can send me the other three files as well.

———————-

Thanks a lot!
Please find attached the other 3:

———————-

I am going to finish for today. Please, send the rest of the files to Karel, he is waiting for them (but also attach them here for me).

Thank you very much, you did an excellent work.

———————-

I am happy to help.
I have just sent Karel the remaining files and here is your copy as well.

I hope you have an enjoyable week-end ๐Ÿ™‚

Your application received. We will review it shortly.

Natalia

Your application will be reviewed only if you will fill and attach the application form.

———————-

Thank you for your application.

We are offering remote work for project managers. Often there are different types of assignments, but at this point, the main type of work to be done is vetting translated files in Excel.

Vetting is the last stage of reviewing translations, where we compare source to target and looking for all kinds of differences in formatting etc. Not difficult but requires good concentration. Does not require knowledge of the target language as we do not edit the text itself, but it sometimes helps.

There will be large volumes of work starting from next week. It is possible that will be other types of assignments to do as well.

Please let me know if you are interested in this work at your earliest convenience.

If you are interested, please let me know how would you like to get paid.

Received. Could you please save files in .doc next time? Sometimes my older version of Office just cannot open the .docx files.

———————-

Patric

I’m glad you found it.

———————-

I am ready for work.
About the payment process I’ll let you know later. Must to figure out details and ways from the Ukrainian payment system.

Dorothea

I apologize for taking me so long to get back to you – I rarely check the category where you submitted the ticket. In the future, please submit in either “New translators” or Support to existing translators” These categories are usually getting responded within few hours.

Your answers are good, I would recommend you reading the updated guidelines for your language. If it’s French, please read the guidelines following the link in Useful links page. If it’s German, please find the guidelines attached.

Additionally please find attached guidelines for installation of Transit, useful links doc and recent e-mail updates from Karel (the most recent goes first).

Natalia

Are you available only 3 hours per day? What bout weekends?

Please let me know.

———————-

Pascal

Your answers are good, only keep in mind that you can use the + mark for words/segments that you can translate but not sure.

I would recommend you reading the updated guidelines for German, please find them attached.
