Correct Proofing of File Sections

I can take care of 13j and deliver by 4pm today, but that’s all for today unfortunately.

If 18j can wait a bit, I can get it done by tomorrow noon.

Please confirm.

Thanks!

you are doing 13j, right?

When you are done, can you also upload your translated 9s too?

may have emailed you about this too.

Are you available for spellchecking in Excel? If yes, what would be your hourly rate?

At the moment I am working on the 5a-d files and will probably also do the 7 files later on.

If you still need someone for spellchecking in Excel, let me know and I integrate this in today’s working schedule. My hourly rate is 20USD/h.

files 5a-c are proofread and sent!

—————————-

I did inform about the two files which you assigned to me with the result that I should stop my translation relating to the file 17w because it has already been completed; relating to the second file (8f) he recommended to do the same, i.e. to stop it at once to prevent doing translation without getting paid for it.

But as I confirmed to finish this file byght and in order to do all my best helping to make your project a success, I continued with my work and now have just finished it. With all of my heart I hope it can help you and my work was not a waste.

File:Weber 13585_JD_100201_Localize_8f.DEU_Total.TXF

—————————-

Do you want me to continue with the 7-files once I have finished the 5-files?

—————————-

I just want to let you know that I sent the fileWeber 13585_JD_100201_Localize_8f.DEU_Total.TXF just now.

—————————-

Just to say that I’ve finished the translation of the file 8z, I only still have to proofread a few segments and do the spellchecking.

—————————-

I’ve uploaded the file 8z, tell me if there is any problem.

Just a few important notes to vocabulary problems in the glossary:

1) “Summoning Stone” = “pierred’invocation” instead of “pierrede convocation”

2) “fileur-de-toile toxique” and “fileur de toile vil” (harmonization needed)

3) Delete one of the two translations of “Deadpool Horror” and only keep “horreur du Marais Maudit” and not “horreur de l’etang des morts”

(“Deadpool” and “Doom Bog” are both translated by “Marais Maudit”)

As I only noted a few important details and the project is almost at it’s end, I directly sent them to you (for the last proofreaders for instance), but tell me in case you want me to upload them somewhere else.

Good night 🙂

I am available to vet files.

Thanks. Talk to about proofing. I’m a bit busy right now and have lost track of who has what. is doing that for today.

As for translation, one person who took over a file still hasn’t turned in. I’ll hope the person has not disappeared on us. But don’t worry about that. Keep the proofs going.

what’s the status on file 9b?

I’ve written to you via the ticketing system, I hope you got it. Please make sure that you have the option of “Send notification when there’s a new message” checked in, or you may miss stuff.

Basically, 9b is late, late, late. Please finish it ASAP.

And I hope you aren’t doing 8z, because I already wrote via the other system that 8z went to someone else.

Hi

Just letting you know that I’m available for new translations.

—————————-

Just wanted to make sure you received everything and found the file 8z.

Good luck with the finalisation of the project 🙂

Have a nice day!

Whoops, hit enter way too soon.

But yes, we have 8z.

just a reminder, we need file 9b ASAP.

/Tefack (how does that work anyway?)

I just want to confirm that I have received file 14L that you uploaded and it all checks out.

—————————-

Daniela. I just joined in a week ago and am wondering if you can tell me about your work for file 15i.FRA

The exact filename is JD_100201_Localize_15i.PXF

Daniela, the file we have from you has 0 (zero!) new words translated.

If you sent in the wrong file by mistake, can you resend it? Don’t email it to . I don’t have time to get him to pass the file to me, and neither does he. Instead, please use our upload server. You can find it at

Thank you.

where is it?

I’ve been trying to wait for you despite the deadline, but unless I see it soon it will go to the proofreader as is. At that point the proofreader, whoever the person is, will translate it and he/she will get the pay, not you.

I’d rather not have to deal with that, so I’ll wait until the last minute, but there’s still a limit.

do you receive my mails

at all?

do you receive my mails

at all?

Via here, yes. Keep in mind that the cookie here expires in 10 minutes. Highly recommend you write the mail on a Notepad program and then copy-paste it and hit Send right away.

If you send anything else since yesterday when you said you will be done in a few hours, I never got it.

Now, what’s the problem?

—————————-

Did you spellcheck files 19a-f and files 17m,n ans 17x(I’m not so sure it was your file though).

Please let me know.

—————————-

I sent you an email yesterday and one this morning along a copy to via this system

I have been working on transit on my laptop since the desktop crashed last week.

I reworked the file yesterday, and once again saved it, reopened it and all work was gone again. I tried to save a few segments after that, but to no avail, Transit on my laptop just will not save and once again i lost many hours of work, while in the process making you later on the project.

My desktop will not be back from reparation until Friday, and as much as it pains me to say, could you please pass the file on to someone else, as i have no way to finish it

i tried to uninstall transit and reinstall, run it as admin, run it normally but no results, it seems my laptop is incompatible with transit

I must sincerely apologize to you for the wasted time and unnecessary stress

Could you please acknowledge receipt of this email.

none of the files in 19 or 17 have been spellchecked by me or my team.

17 x and y were two of five files tried sending back to the translators to fix. Have they been proofread by someone else in the meantime?

Sorry for any possible misunderstandings.

Would it help you a great deal if we spellchecked our files in Transit after proofreading before sending them in?

—————————-

Sorry to hear about that. Very well, we’ll have someone else work on that. Hopefully you’ll get things back to normal very soon.

—————————-

Would it be possible for you to translate a file quickly?

The first sub we approached to do this turns out to be unable to.

If you have the time, you can download the file from

http://001yourtranslationservice.com/cgi-bin/ls_1001_TR.cgi

It’s the Unfinished_15i_FRA.PXF

Start from segment 372. Segment 1-372 is already done.

If you don’t have the time, please let us know right away.

—————————-

if you already downloaded Unfinished_15i_FRA.PXF earlier, please redownload it. There were some error earlier.

If on the other hand you haven’t, well, just download it now. The problem should be fixed now.

we found that 19G2_ef_german__proofread file that you sent is actually empty. There’s a .PRJ file in it, but no.GER/.DEU file.

Can you resend those, please?

—————————-

I cannot find the 7a-file/7e-i on the server (Index of files).

They actually should be in the Proofreading/-folder but they aren’t.

Can you help?

—————————-

Always nice to have more people helping.

says you can proofread. Excellent, let’s get to it.

Let’s start with the German 16j and 16k files. You can find them below.

Site: http://translationstop.com/files/Proofreading/New.files_2/German/

File name: 16jk_DEU_tobe_proofed.PXF

We may add more as more files finish processing.

—————————-

told me to contact you and remind you about 17 u and 17 v.

He says that half of the file seems to be missing.

Can you check on that? I’m not sure what part was missing, so please let me know.

—————————-

says the translation for the French 12L was pretty bad and she wants you to redo it.

How’s progress on that one then? When do you think it’ll be done?

—————————-

I’m adding 16_de_DEU_tobe_proofread.PXF to the site and I’d like you to proofread that one too.

If you think you can still take more, let know

—————————-

I could rework it of course, but I would think it was enough. I’ve seen more “literal”and easy done translations, yet passing through. Everything I saw could have been enhanced but the proofreader always have a critical point of view, usually seeing all the tiny defaults.

I can still rework it though, it that’s what should be done. But saying it pretty bad to the point of redoing it, I do have some experience in the field and we’re not here.

Sorry for such a delay in response.

It does help if you spellcheck the files with numerous strings on the proofreading stage by copying all segments to Word, and then using Ctrl+F to find the place in Transit. Clumsy, but faster then doing it in Excel, when all words are glued with the strings and appear misspelled. With usual “conversational” files it doesn’t matter that much. Only please let me know – if you spellcheck a file – which file it was.

It appears that 17x and y hadd been proofread (but the translator did not repair them).

you are asking just at the right time — I was planning to let you know that I will be available tomorrow and over the weekend.

Since I haven’t yet proofread for this project, I have not heard back from concerning my hourly rate. My offer was ¢¬ 18 / $ 25. Please let me know if that works. I am motivated to do my best to help you finish the project — so I may be able to negotiate if that is necessary.

Guess I’ll find the 9 e t u files under Proofreading / New Files 2 / German, right?

But I have just sent him an email saying I won’t be available for a week and will be back to work on Monday 17th.

Let me know if you need more information.
