Segment Glossary Project Translated

someone else is doing segment 3760-end, which left us with some 600 odd segments. That’s too small to be split, so I’ll just tack that on to yours.

That means segments 1502 to 3759.

” Excellent. Let’s do that then. You’re responsible for segment 3760 to the end.

“Hi

message received, and I am already working on the file.

One short comment. I guess you are already aware of this, but just to make sure.

It is going quite fast, because the file is very repetitive: There are many attribute-item type combinations, like “Angelic Greaves”, “Arcane Greaves” … “Angelic Belt”, “Arcane Belt” etc.

This makes translating easy, but it will be necessary to check the whole file for consistency later, so every attribute and every item type is always translated in the same way.

Sebastian” Good point and it will undergo a proofreading stage. For now we are just starting with the glossary and building this from the ground up. I think this will help the next project a lot. Trying to improve things.

Fabienne, are you available today Sunday to help wrap up this project?

I think its been assigned. Will mark your OT as available.

When can I expect the money? And the new work? Why I haven’t heard a word from you last week, it looks strange. I told you that I’m free for a work. But first I want to be paid for previous one.

———————-

How I explained earlier, we are finishing this project this week. There were less files then before and they demanded complicated vetting. You can’t work independently yet and files need to be re-vetted after you, because you didn’t do right things on the files. These files needed to be done very well and there was not time to revet. So they were assigned to the most experienced people.

Second project already launched, and i expect files will begin to come within a week or so.

All PMs will get paid in the next week after Tuesday, you among them. If you want to include your last file in the invoice, please do so until Tuesday.

———————-

told me you are available for spellchecking and issue resolving. Please find attached the first file.

Please confirm.

———————-

Are you available to spellcheck some files?
Please let me know.

———————-

Sure, I am.

Kind Colmant

———————-

Well okay, I’ll be waiting for a new work.I’ve got everything recorded in the invoice that I’ve sent you last time.

———————-

Wow, that’s excellent.

Please find attached 4 files for spellchecking (more coming soon).

Please confirm.

———————-

I have finished segments 1-1500. Do you want me to proceed?

———————-

Received, I’m getting to it.

Kind Colmant

———————-

No. Do not continue. Upload it instead.

You’ll have to stay idle for today and a bit of tomorrow. We’re a bit busy behind the scenes.

———————-

Please find the file attached.
Sorry if it took longer than I planned, I couldn’t start right away and I had to spent a bit more time on one file.

———————-

I am attaching few files, they have some untranslated lines and sentences. In some vettors marked, but in some they were just too many. Please, scroll them carefully and translate the lines. Don’t proofread the rest of the text. If it will not take too long – please also spellcheck.

Please confirm.

———————-

Understood, I’ll get back to you asap.

Kind Colmant

———————-

Excellent.
One more thing – in one file only one untranslated sentence:

Make your enemies think they are trapped in the Abyss with no salvation.

No context (it’s description of what a spell does). Can you please translate it as well?

———————-

I just uploaded the file using the upload procedure of the old project (this link:

http://001yourtranslationservice.com/newsystem/cgi-bin/up_1001_TR.cgi )

I hope that was correct. Or should I attach it here?

Also, I uploaded some comments about some terms and the small range of segments I didn’t translate (3154-3168).

———————-

Would you please let me know how is progress? If you completed a file, can you send it? Today please e-mail all files directly to Karel.

———————-

About to be done with one, but there was more translations than I expected… especially in both 15 files.
If ever you have someone to do the 17 files, if may be better to have them done in time.

Kind Colmant

———————-

I had reassigned files 17wxy, so only 15s and 15 u are yours.

Please form now on communicate directly with Karel or with on CS.

———————-

I’ll continue directly with Karel.

Have a nice evening

Kind Colmant

seems to have forgot I told him I was going to bed. I just wake up. Il will spellcheck this one, I hope it’s alright!

Joannnie

———————-

The file you sent me was corrupted, snd couldn’t open it. Could you give a check and send it again?

Thanks

” I’m available now, if you still need help with translation, proofreading or spell-checking ”

I didn’t know in which GMT do you live.
Good that the file was corrupted 🙂 It’s many hours past deadline!

———————-

Is there any thing else for me to do?
I am in GMT +10, Australia

Kindest

———————-

Please find attached the first file (Seg 1-1500 translated)

———————-

Wow! Australia! I didn’t know that. I will take that in mind. I’m on GMT+6, so I guess best time to catch you online is in my morning time. I think today we won’t have anything to do, but I will let you know if something arises.

” I need you to upload to TR as before. Eventually I’ll centralise everything but that will take a bit of time to develop.

Sorry I did not reply to your message early enough.
I was so tired after delivery of the files on Saturday, and I went on weekend to relax a bit.
As I said, 18i was the best of those four files, and I did confirm that a good proofreading and spell-check was done before me, and I just resolved the issues you specified in 18i.
However, there were both glossary and linguistic issues in the remaining files (15n, 15o, and 18l). Of course, the TRACK CHANGES under Excel does not work much like this feature under Word. But you can still take a look at 15no or 18l to see the changes I made. There was even a good amount of UNTRANSLATED stuff, and some “crafted” translation inserted by the translator without the + sign …So it took somebody fully aware to dis cover such tricks.
Just take the corresponding files and compare what you had with what I later delivered. Yet, I was still feeling that some proofreading was still necessary by the time I submitted, since you reminded me to limit my contribution to specific issues you pointed out, and to spell-check without spending so much time on files.
If you feel that I’ve spent TOO MUCH time on the files, please just cut it down to what you initially thought could be reasonable for that particular assignment.
I always put QUALITY in translation far beyond money.
Regards.

You are in the wrong section of OT. Please repost your message ASAP to Z_Get category, which is attended by .

” Sorry for the late answer: just got to this. I hope you’re done by now and getting some rest! If not, I’m available to help. Carine, you can take the last part of 03_reps. From what segment can you take until the end and be done today? I suggest you start later than that segment and wait for confirmation to see up to where the translator before you is taking. Copy paste your section into Word and divide the character count (including spaces) by 6.53 to get an approximate word count.

Please always state the segment number.

I think I could translate from Sylla to the end today. I had a quick look at the file and I was wondering: is there a way to check which terms are characters’names?
Are there any other instructions specific to that new project I should know about before I start translating?

Carine

———————-

Server works. Try to follow the link: http://translationstop.com/files/03/German/

” Also, do I need to download a new glossary or beginning of a glossary in case parts of my assigned terms have already been translated a certain way by another translator? (to try and maintain uniformity throughout the glossary) “Hi, as per Karel’s mail below :

How much more can you handle today? Respond to me () through OT so that he can see our correspondence, and I’ll confirm it there. But I have to leave the office soon, so if I cannot confirm it, go ahead and tell I said you can take as much as you can handle today.

unfortunately I can’t take any more today, sorry about that
I stopped at segment 1766

———————-

please find attached the file translated from 3760 to the end. If there are files to be translated, just send me some.

———————-

I have finished translating from Sylla (segment 5184) to the end. Do you want me to save and send you what I have done so far or shall I carry on translating the file tomorrow?
I don’t know either how far along the other translator is in her translation of the file.

Let me know what you want me to do.

carine” Sorry, the PMs are not responding. Keep proceeding.

the other translators has only made it to segment 1766, so please take more backwards. Will try to find a third translator in between.

“Carine, so far we have no glossary. This file will be the basis of the new glossary. It’s unlikely that your segments will conflict with the earlier ones, but if parts of it do, don’t worry because it will be discovered when the glossary is built and a definitive choice made then.

Also, please take more segments and let us know how much more you’ll be doing, thanks.
