If I abbreviate terms like Rezeptur with Rez. do you want me to change this in other phrases which are not marked yellow for the sake of consistency?
———————-
Yes, like this. I mean that your priority should be creating an understandable abbreviation which fits into 31 characters, rather then being consistent. So better keep the Rezeptur wherever you can. This is why I need German speaker to do it, and can’t delete letters myself.
Did you see that you can download the most updated German glossary in Excel format? It is more convenient to use then running Transit in the same time.
———————-
Yes, I have the new glossary open in Excel. Has the new glossary already been inserted in the files you sent me?
———————-
No, the files are just how you delivered them. Vettors only make sure nothing is missing, that there are no untranslated lines, and correct small things in formatting. That’s it.
Considering how little time is left, I propose you not to concentrate too much on the terminology, but rather have the files abbreviated and spellchecked, and the +marks resolved. I suppose you may find some of these terms you were not sure about in the glossary. If not – just make your best guess.

we still do not have 12m.
The file you sent us, despite saying 12m on its name, DOES NOT have 12m inside. Please, take a moment to check on what’s inside the file first and if necessary do a reSend in Transit.
Once you are sure that the file does indeed contain 12m, please upload it.
———————-
We also do not have 15h. The file you labeled 15h does not have 15h inside. Please double-check.
If necessary, reopen Transit, load the 15h, and do another Send, please.
———————-
I just wanted to know if you have any work to do as regards of the games translation.

Patrick” Who is this intended for ? ?
done “It’s for !
———————-
Thanks. The resulting Excel file for 15h is now with .
Still no sign of 12m though. Just send the .FRA file instead of the .TXF if you want. It works for now.
———————-
please find attached files 3b and 4b. This time without comments.
———————-
Do you have some files for me today?
———————-
Yes, lot of files. Please e-mail me: olka_sh at yahoo dot com

Patrick
We are completing a project today and another begins later this week. You may apply later.

18i, o and r should be fine. I uploaded the compressed files (18i, o, r.rar) but couldn’t choose the folder, I’m not sure if I have the right link to upload. I’m also sending it here by ticket, just in case.
Like the rest the 18j wasn’t done either, I found a lot of issues in this one too.
I’ll wait for your confirmation to continue, because correcting the other files by Excel because of tags would take quite some time.
Kind Colmant
———————-
Please continue sending by ticket. I would like you to preform only spellcheck, nothing more. If you see a bad file, just let me know, how you did, but don’t correct. Only spellcheck. Time is passing and I need a higher productivity. The tags can be corrected by vettors.
To spellcheck fast, select the French column in Excel, and run spellcheck (F7).
———————-
I can do that, but besides tags a good matter of inconsistency between the skills will remain.
I’ll send the files asap.

File 4d is held in informal style instead of medieval formal style, which would be ok if the player is addressed by the game all the time but it is difficult to judge if that’s the case here. Is there any way to find out?
For the time being, I leave it as it is.
———————-
I attached 18j & 18m, I only did a spellcheck by F7 but again, it’ll be far from being enough to get some quality. I’m still seing error that word spellchecking didn’t spotted, along with capitalization issues, some bad translations, etc… (yet 18j being acceptable between both).
18b, 18d and 18l are just too catastrophic (it would be surprizing that 18b has been done by a native french, a VERY bad translation which needs to be redone).
The problem seems to be that theses files were done quickly and without any knowledge about video games. Therefore getting a lot of errors, bad translations, sometimes very bad terminology (I have seen “Refroidissement” (Cooling) for Cooldown…)
Even if I followed the instructions for 18j & 18m, there is still quite some work to be done with them to reach some quality.
Right now, only 18i, 18o, 18r are good to go, with a final quality far from the other ones.
———————-
to speed it up i split work.
So please DO NOT do spellcheck of files 11e,11g,14a,19a,19b,19c,19d
Please confirm.
———————-
Thank you
Files received. How is it going, is it so slow? Like I said earlier, please only abbreviate and spellcheck, no need to check terminology against the gloosary. No time for that.
Please let me know of your progress.
———————-
To your question above, please leave as it is.
———————-
Sure, I confirm. I have only be assigned 18 files right now.
Kind Colmant
———————-
I think I will finish the files within the next hour.
———————-
Pascal
I will check this and get back to you within a day or two. We are finalizing the project.
Without checking I just don’t recall receiving your answers.

When can I start to work?
Or I’m already not a candidate for this job, am I?
By the way, I’m always well available by e-mail.

Yaroslav
I apologize for not having responded earlier, but this week we are finalizing our current project, and I am very busy.
We shall begin the next one soon (in a week or so), and I will be re-estimating the work power needed at that time.
———————-
And the last file 5d!
———————-
I think you still have files 2c, 2d, 3b. Please correct me if I’m wrong. There are also files 1d and 1c which i still didn’t send.
———————-
Are you available for spellchecking and abbreviating terms to 31 chars for a few files?
Please let me know.
———————-
Do you have time to spellcheck and abbreviate one or two files?
Please let me know.
———————-
Here they are. I sent those files via CS.
———————-
I have time for one or two, yes.
———————-
Please find attached files 7e,7f.
The lines which are longer then 31 are yellow.
———————-
Great
Then please find attached the two last ones: 1c and 1d
———————-
yes I can do some files
———————-
Karel asks to stop spellchecking. Please upload here what you’ve done so far.
One more thing, can you please translate this segment:
Gallbladder of Deadpool Wanderers
———————-
Please find attached two files in Excel format – 3a and 3d. Please abbreviate the Proper Names to 31char. I am also attaching the file which contains the 31char macro. All you need is to have it open when you are working on the file, and press ctrl+Q short-cut. All cells which are longer, will color yellow.
Please confirm.
———————-
Please find attached the spellchecked files.
Total time: 1h50
———————-
files received. One more thing, can you please translate this segment?
Gallbladder of Deadpool Wanderers
———————-
here the checked files.
7e – 20 mins
7f – 30 mins
———————-
Gallbladder of Deadpool Wanderers = Vésicule biliaire du voyageur du marais maudit
———————-
Thank you very much, files received.
I have one more question – in one of the files from yesterday these two titles remained untranslated. The first is a poem by Frost, and the second is novel by King. Are there any existing transitions for these books?
Nothing Gold Can Stay
The Green Mile
———————-
You’ll geet hte files tonight
———————-
The Green Mile in Germany is just known as The Green Mile (also the name on the DVD cover). I have spent some time looking for a translation for Nothing Gold Can Stay but did not find one.
———————-
All right, I attached the files spellchecked as told.
Although I must insist that these remain catastrophic (to the point where there are still untranslated parts!), bad translations, terminology… a lot of things letting them far from minimal quality…
For the translation:
