Work German Send Proofread English

Few more things for some of these files:
In these files there are few things to look for:

1. Please see that the file is well aligned = that the English cell actually corresponds to the German cell. I understand that you don’t speak German, but usually it’s guessable.

2. there are many commands and strings: ^fdba, ^ ffffff and many others. It is very important to see that these commands are located in same places as in the English texts, around same expressions.

3. Line breaks. If you click on a cell in MS Excel, you will see exactly how is the text aligned inside the cell. Number of rows inside the cell should correspond to English source (Alt+Enter to make line break in MSExcel). You should see that all lines are present and no text is missing

4. Sometimes you have a Word, command and the hyphen and a Word again (all capitalized words). Like this:
Word^fffff-Otherword
In such case the hyphen should not be deleted. If you have doubts, leave a comment.

5. /r indicates a line break in the game, therefor it is okay if there are no spaces around it.

Please confirm receipt.

Oh, sorry! This one fell out.

And I forgot to say:

Concerning the payment, I would like to leave it up to you to decide to what extend my actions apart from looking out for the plus signs were helpful. If they didn’t help my work was only worth something about half an hour, if they were then my work was for about three hours, but in any case it was my mistake to get the instructions wrong.

Here are more files – since I am going to sleep, I guess it’s for tomorrow.

Thank you for the great work you are doing.

———————-

Received.

And file 8p? Will you be able to send it later?

———————-

Kristof

Whatever you do on the files is work. Please record your hours and paste here as a separate comment. I don’t need details how many minutes per each file, but just the time for the bunch of files you did. Any work counts.

Just for next files, they don’t require proofreading, unless, of course, you spot something that is really bad and then I am very happy if you correct it.

———————-

Ooooops forgot few more.

If you don’t have time for them – please tell me!
Good night.

———————-

Hereby I confirm the files receipt.

D

———————-

I’ve completed the vetting. It was a tough one:)

Here’s a report.

———————-

The last file that was supposed to contain 8yvx actually contained the same files you sent before 8klmno. Send it again tomorrow, although I won’t be able to start on them before 2 pm GMT, so maybe you want to assign them to someone else. In the afternoon I am free though.

Here checked 8klmno:
8m 10 mins
8n 10 mins
8o 10 mins
8l 5 mins
8k 5 mins

All the best and good night

———————-

Sorry, my mistake, I unpacked the wrong file…it IS getting late… will send the files to you tonight.

———————-

Hi again

File 8p is shown to me as attached to my last post in this ticket. Don’t know why it didn’t get through, it is shown as attached on my end…

Anyway, I’ll attach it again to this message 🙂

———————-

…and in this case, I spent about three hours with proofreading, which would then be worth $15…

or did you mean I should open a seperate ticket for this…?

Hope file 8p was sent successfully this time.

Good night
Kristof

I have finally finished vetting of the last task. One file there consisted millions of~55~ and it took me really much time to replace them all manually.
I’ll be available to work tomorrow approx. at 16.00 by Ukrainian time(GTM+2), so if you can, send a new task by this time.

———————-

Here you go!

Good night now for me too.

Time:
8v 10 mins
8y 5 mins
8x 10 mins

Cheers,

———————-

I am sorry, but I am not in time with that files (they are much more difficult than others).
I have nearly done 18m. So, please, if it is possible, assign 18p,q,t for another person. I am really sorry.
If it is not possible I will do them today evening.

The password is 001.
Please upload it to the server again so and Karel can access it easily if necessary. I do have it though and will work from the copy you attach here.

———————————————————
Here’s a copy of Karel’s instruction from last week.
New upload instructions. The password is “001” (without the quotation marks). If you are uploading a translation, follow the Translation link, otherwise the Proofread link if proofreading. You can confirm your successful upload through the provided links and info on the upload page. Unfortunately there is no progress bar so just wait until the file is fully uploaded– after which it should show the results.

To upload translation files:

http://001yourtranslationservice.com/newsystem/cgi-bin/up_1001_TR.cgi

To upload proofread files:

http://001yourtranslationservice.com/newsystem/cgi-bin/up_1001_PR.cgi

All the files will be uploaded into the same folder, where the project managers can process them. It is therefore important that you NAME your files to help confirm who worked on it.

Follow a basic, logical convention, like:

<file number and letter><Language><your first name as shown in the google sheet><Translation or Proofread>_<the rest of the file name – optional>

Therefore, if I send you a file

JD_100201_Localize_16a

And you translated it, you might rename it as:

16a French Bob Translation_ JD_100201_Localize_16a.txf

or

16a French Bob.txf

or

16a French Bob Proofread.txf

if you proofread it.

This is just as a backup to help with our own organization and to double confirm that it is your file etc. It will make accounting confirmation easier later, so please always name your files in this logical manner.

———————-

Please find my hours report attached here.

Heiko

———————-

Here are several files more not for spellchecking but for ISSUE RESOLVING.

Please confirm!

———————-

No, Monday would be dangerously late. If anything goes wrong, there will be no time left to fix it.

I personally would prefer them being done by Saturday, leaving us an entire Sunday to vet the files.

———————-

How are you doing with the proofreading?

There are still a bit more files to proofread and I’d like to know how many (if any) I can assign to you.

———————-

Heiko

files received and even already sent, hours report received as well (wow how organized!).

———————-

S

I really appreciate your effort. Can you complete them today?

With your excellent work yesterday we sent lot of files to the client, so we received few more days to do it.

I don’t remember if I attached for you instructions how to make an hourly report, so please find attached.

” How are you doing on your 9b file?

I will do them today, but in the evening. I have no time now(
I have already uploaded 18m to the server. there are a lot of questions there so if you have time – please check it.

S

———————-

S

I have someone who can do them right now. So let’s agree like this – I cancel these files, DO NOT do them.
When you get back online – send me a message and I will give you files. If I will be finishing, but you will still not send me a message, I will just assign you 3-4 files for the evening.

Is that fine?

———————-

Thank for the instructions, I uploaded the file to that server, sorry cause I made a mistake, once I uploaded it with the original name, and a second time I did it following the instructions of Karel, sorry for this problem.
Will; be waiting further instructions or files from you

Respectfully
Rachid” Uh, lotsa. A quick look shows they average about 5000 each. So about 70000 words. Maybe 75000.

OK. And all that has to be proofed before Monday? “Ok, I guess the e-mail came same time as I was writing the message.
I don’t have files for re-vetting, so please VET German files:
JD_100201_Localize_16f
JD_100201_Localize_16h

They are in Proofread->German.

Please confirm.

Nobody will be checking after you, so please provide me best quality vetting!
