A broader understanding of God

Hey dad, been reading a book I thought might interest you. Was in Malaysia and couldn’t get the train seat I wanted, where I knew I could plug in my computer, so had thoughts of buying a book for the journey. Was walking with a girl when I was reminded that I promised to buy someone incense sticks, when the girl said “this store sells sticks”. From the outside I would have never guessed, but when I went in they had a whole wall of English language books (so I considered it providence). Asked the owner what he would suggest and he mentioned “Autobiography of a Yogi”, about someone’s spiritual path through life and who eventually became famous, friends with Ghandi and all that.

Another book I read recently is by one of Thailand’s most famous monks, who started a meditation retreat I had once attended, and which explained the parallels between Christianity and Buddhism. After reading these two books I am glad to add the rest of the world (Buddhists and Hindi – still have to read the Koran, but now that I know they believe in the God of Abraham they are also included) to those who are eligible to find salvation with their separate religions, because they all say basically the same thing, if you get past the literal, fundamental meaning, of any of them. For example, the first book I mentioned talks about how our bodies are basically just frequencies, like Einstein and Tesla were pointing to before they passed away. Through meditation and other means we are able to bring our bodies to a higher frequency, which basks in love, away from the lower frequencies of hate etc. So it gives some insight into how Christ’s miracles are possible. The book constantly refers to the bible and gives much greater insight into its words than what I was able to extrapolate myself (based on symbolic definitions), which I consider a much deeper understanding than the literal interpretation understood by many. “Many will call on the name of the Lord but not be saved.” Anyway, just a thought. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Kp

hey man, been reading a book and thought of writing my dad, the typical fundamentalist thinking Christian who has zero depth of understanding of Christ’s words and confide in simple literal meanings. Trying to educate these people. Perhaps the second book I mentioned below will interest you more because its shorter and actually compares things. From the sounds of it your or my family will never budge from their beliefs, but at least this way there might be a better chance to get them to start thinking out of the box. I’ve been reading some about frequencies and the fact that atoms are mostly just space/energy. There really is no such thing as solid matter and our base experience in this lowest of all dimensions, 3 (11 have been proven to exist by math), and the extremely narrow band of visible light within that, essentially make our impression of reality quite off the mark. At least something interesting for a mind to chew on. Who knows what being are traveling through other dimension. Even within our own it is absolutely absurd to believe that we are the only intelligent life in the universe (which I hardly consider intelligent), especially considering our solar system is about half the age of the galaxy and one third of the universe. so it makes natural sense that aliens or spirits from other dimensions could visit us during our barbaric development and try to help set us on a better path. Or that the forces in power here will try everything they can to twist his good words for their own agenda, and produce resentful people like yourself who has an inner conviction for truth and justice and is turned off by the twisted indoctrination.

Yup, many enlightened fellows seen the way and passed on to their followers. To me however, Jesus the one who opened the way; three days there in Hell did something major we fully appreciate one day.

I think there is a lot of meaning there. Those three and a half days are probably related to the Time, two Times and Half a Time mentioned somewhere in Revelations. I used to only read the bible because I was worried other writing and ideas might lure me off track, but after reading it twice nothing new was sinking in and it got repressively boring. I’m glad to say that the other reading has generally deepened my understanding and brought me closer instead. But one always has to be discerning. Like Buddha said, “But don’t trust me, find out for yourself and then  you will be able to lead others. Question everything.” This could be similar to the bible’s “Seek knowledge and understanding”. I think it is the mistake of many Christians that they rely on the one line “Jesus is the way” but don’t really explore what that might mean and think it is enough just to go to church once a week and say they believe in Jesus, and then just get into some life routine and nothing is deepened. That is part of the journey, or Way. A journey of the heart. Yes, Jesus is like a reconciliation for us to God but it’s not like pressing a button and the job is done, like many believe. Very convenient for them. Anyway, on this island I’m learning that even yoga is a way to become closer to God. Certain positions which tap into frequencies of the cosmos to purify our bodies and minds and bring our bodies to a higher frequency of love. Many are more concerned about advancing to Tantra sex, but like anything else it can be abused, but there is still underlying truth in it. King David spent much time meditating and I’m sure Jesus spent the 40 days meditating in the desert and not twiddling his fingers waiting for the time to come up. Anyway, I know I falter in many ways but strive to get better. I think this recent introduction to meditation is interesting because it really is a battle to still the mind. so many distracting thoughts all day long and when I did manage to still it somewhat during those seven days I managed to survive in the camp, I found my mind began to make leaps of revelation thoughts and greater insights that would not dawn on me in my busy busy regular mind state. Anyway, good to explore God from different angles, to achieve a broader and deeper perspective, and deeper understanding in the process.

Don’t know Koran but intuitively suspect that Muslims are stuck in the same place as orthodox Jews, believing one saves himself by practicing the Law and doing the Works.

Maybe, but it’s been explained to me that Mohammed’s approach is to use these rules and rituals as a sort of exercise to bring one’s consciousness closer to God. For example, counting the beads along the string during prayer meditation in the mosque. The exercise is to increase our awareness of God. Sure, some may be insincere about it and just count it like a chore, similar to those who put money in the church basket but do not concern themselves with cleansing their hearts and minds. Or there are many Christians who are legalistic and fundamentalist and seek salvation through self-righteousness, so missing the point too.

Reading a book “Choose Yourself” by James Altucher. Suggesting we are entering a new era I might label a “post-employment society” presenting threats but also opportunities to “Be Happy, Make Millions, Live the Dream”. Reminds me discussions we had a few years ago, that sense of things in flux, something fundamental coming up. Barely half way through his book getting deeper and deeper into the subject, just one quote: “Technology, outsourcing, a growing temp staffing industry, and productivity efficiencies have all replaced the middle class. The working class. Most jobs that existed twenty years ago aren’t needed now. Maybe they never were needed. The entire first decade of this century was spent with CEOs in their Park Avenue clubs crying through their cigars, ‘How are we going to fire all this dead weight?’ The year 2008 finally gave them the chance. ‘It was the economy!’ they said. The country has been out of recession since 2009. Four years now. But the jobs have not come back. Everyone is getting fired. Everyone is toilet paper now. Flush.” Interestingly, all Kosmans are their own bosses already :).

Already sometime in the 40s or something one big American industrialist warned that they must be careful about the pace of robotisation, because if they are too quick, they unemploy too many people and then there are less who can afford to buy their products, so some general (artificial) equilibrium is created for profit maximization. But we are now entering a stage when technically we shouldn’t have to work. Tesla technology buried by J.P Morgan in collusion with the thief Alexander Bell, technology which can give us free unlimited energy from the ionosphere. Oil companies buying up all battery patents and burying it. Making hemp illegal because it can produce so many quality products, including medicine – simply too costly for the 1%. Humanity is so suppressed and we can easily feed ourselves with permaculture. Therefore I say down with any property rights at all, including intellectual. This should be available to us like land, water, air, freedom of speech. basically what Jesus was preaching I’d say. More details at Zeitgeist Movement and was quite an interesting read. So either people start waking up and learn about self-sustainability or the 1% will continue to use false flags to distract us and convince us we need to be part of some rat race and be slaves to the system, or keep the profit war machine moving. technology has advanced so much yet how is it possible that people have to work so much? it is all an illusion. anyway, the transition will probably not be smooth, cause they will not want to give up their control over us. living in interesting times indeed, but I guess it will get real ugly once the present financial system, based on debt and increasing consumption, implodes. The documentary “Money as Debt” explained it quite well to me and I see that we cannot continue along this path of increased consumption because it is destroying the planet, among other things.
