Christ Loves

Fallen Catholic Angry at God

Based on what I heard you say last night, I would like to respond in this way:

A) let us look at the New Testament, based on which let us say Christianity was created (because you will not find the word Christ in the Old Testament). The teachings of the New Testament unequivocally and 100% is against the behaviour you were talking about. In the Old Testament and new, the bible repeatedly says that the greatest commandment is to “love your God with all your might, all your heart and all your soul”, after which it is directly followed by, “and the second most important command is similar to this: love your neighbour as yourself”. Loving your neighbour does not mean finding some neighbour with which you get along with and liking them, but it allows for randomness and essentially means to love EVERYBODY. The New Testament also says that we must serve others around us through God. Not serving only believers, but everyone, perhaps to glorify God in response to the beauty he has done for us. Christ for example says that “if someone takes your wallet, give them your cloak. If someone slaps you in the face, offer them your other cheek”. Christ laid down his life for his ENEMIES, although by his own choice but also by the will of God, who sent him for this very purpose, as an expression of his love for US. Christ is supposed to be an example for us “Christians” so to speak to follow. The bible also warns to “be careful and not associate ourselves with someone who calls himself a brother but who does not behave as such”. The bible also says that people who are saying so and acting otherwise, hence causing others to ‘fall’, will be judged more strictly. On and on and on.

Unfortunately, the bible and God is not like McDonalds who sends their representatives around to check up on everyone that they are conforming to their strict standards of quality etc. God does not send a representative to revoke someone’s franchise license for misrepresenting him. Therefore...

B) if there are some or many people who commit atrocities and say they are doing it in the name of Christianity, they are LIARS!! And by you saying that Christianity has led to the most atrocities ever, or whatever, you are spreading BULLSHIT LIES! I would just like you to be aware that you are spreading BULLSHIT LIES by saying this and it is NOT logically correct to say that, because these people are acting this way and saying they are doing so because the bible or God told them to, therefore God, the bible and Christianity are evil. This is logically incorrect and you are only adding to a lie started by people who are defiling the beautiful Word of God (probably by the command by Satan if you want). If you want to judge something, judge it by the source. Judge the bible for what it is, and if you want to do so, then if you have half an intelligence, pick it up and read it and don’t spread other people’s lies out of your own absolute ignorance. Get to know God yourself and form your own opinion and don’t spread other people’s lies out of your own absolute ignorance.

On a final note, I think EVERYONE who I have met who has grown up under supposed teachings of the bible and the ways of God but who have decided to rebel against God and let us say Christianity have grown up so under the teachings of the CATHOLIC church. I have also heard many lies spread by this organisation. I am not saying it is wholeheartedly bad, but it is made up of people, who are prone to mistakes, and therefore you cannot say that any such organisation is a true reflection of God.

Yes, a day will come when “Christ will come and rule with his angels”, whether you or anyone else likes it. He will RULE this planet and no one will be able to stop him, and...

REV 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. [5] (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. [6] Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

REV 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. [2] I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. [3] And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. [4] He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

ISA 2:1 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:
ISA 2:2 In the last days
he mountain of the LORD's temple will be established
as chief among the mountains;
it will be raised above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.
ISA 2:3 Many peoples will come and say,
"Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths."
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
ISA 2:4 He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.

And why is it not like this right now?

Well God created Eden, and everything was happy, and Adam and Eve walked around the garden naked in happiness and bliss. And for this to continue, God said that “they may eat of any fruit in the garden but...

GE 1:27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

GE 2:8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. [9] And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground--trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

GE 2:15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. [16] And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; [17] but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die. <spiritual death>"

GE 2:25 The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
GE 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, `You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
GE 3:2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, [3] but God did say, `You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
GE 3:4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. [5] "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

GE 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. [7] Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

GE 3:8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. [9] But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"

GE 3:10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."
GE 3:11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?
GE 3:17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, `You must not eat of it,'
"Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.
GE 3:18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
GE 3:19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return."

GE 3:21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. [22] And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." [23] So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. [24] After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life

RO 8:19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. [20] For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope [21] that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

RO 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. [7] Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. [8] But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

RO 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! [10] For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! [11] Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

RO 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned-- [13] for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. [14] Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.

RO 5:15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! [16] Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgement followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. [17] For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

RO 5:18 Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. [19] For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

Therefore Kat, I pray that you may discover the true love of God. He loves you and all of us and essentially came down in flesh and offered his heart as a welcome mat for humanity, much of which has practically spit on it. He loves his creation and is pained by its pain. Yes, he will come one day and rule as was said before, but he respected our will to discover for ourselves the knowledge of good and evil. But we as humans are not perfect and cannot manage this knowledge. The world is therefore fucked up and God is working to redeem his creation back to the beauty when he created it. The evil in the world does NOT come from God but by our own perverse nature. I believe that all good comes from God but you don’t have to believe this of course.

I pray that you may discover the beauty and love that God has for you, that you will one day be willing to receive the limitless grace and love that he would love to pour unto you. I apologise if anyone representing the church or God has done something wrong to you. I apologise on behalf of God, who has shown me his love and to whom I am eternally indebted for what he has done for my life. “I apologise for the misrepresentation that you have been subject to and I would love to have you back in my arms and show you my love, for you are my child, who I love”.
