This kind of problem runs through the entire source text: inconsistencies and different spellings of the same terms. This also prevents auto insertion of terms in Transit. I know that consistency is demanded by the end client but he provides us with inconsistent source texts.<\/p>\n
I think there\u00c2\u00b4re two ways to deal with inconsistencies:
\nLeaving this terms and spellings as they are and translating them without changing things like hyphens or word orders.
\nOr making them consistent by translating in a straight consistent way.<\/p>\n
Like , I also suggest to leave things as they are in the source text. If there\u00c2\u00b4s a hyphen in a given term there is maybe a reason for that (maybe due to programming code, line breaks or whatever) or the Chinese to English translator or even the original Chinese put those oddities in the text. We\u00c2\u00b4ll never know. So, to be on the safe side, I wouldn\u00c2\u00b4t change it. Even if the end client moans about he cannot deny that the product he gave us is inconsistent itself.<\/p>\n
Referring to the term that is from me I\u00c2\u00b4probably stucked to the dictionary. So please insert the hyphen surrounded by spaces as it is in the source text.<\/p>\n
